Wednesday Homework Assignment: The assignment here is to record a screencast of yourself solving one of our three problem tasks. In order to begin, open your google email account and download the attachment I sent you. This attachment has the entire problem included.
Once you've got ActivInspire open with the problem slide on screen, you're ready to get started.
1. Go to http://www.screencast-o-matic.com and create a free account.
2. Click "Start Recording", which may open the application and a dotted box will show up. Position the window you are working the problem on into the dotted box.
3. Click the red "Record" button to begin recording.
4. Begin by reading the problem aloud, and then work the problem start to finish as best as you can. TALK your way through the process, explaining your steps. If you get stuck at a certain point, describe what it is that you're stuck on and how you think you might be able to get around it. If you have questions, ask them. If you have uncertainties, explain them.
5. Click the "Pause" button when you are finished, and then click "Done".
6. Click "Save as Video File" and rename the file with your first and last name. (For example, my Filename would be PatrickKing).
7. Click "Publish" and once it loads, click "Done".
8. Go to your Google Drive and click "New" and "File Upload" at the top left.
9. Select the video you just recorded to upload. It should be located in your personal g drive.
10. Once the video uploads, double-click it and click on the "Share" button at the top (it looks like a person with a + sign next to it).
11. Change the setting to "Anyone with a link can view".
12. Copy paste your link into the Hand It In Google Doc.
